Why can’t I hear anything?
Most browsers require a user action before audio can play. Click Speak time now once, then start announcements. Also check device volume and mute settings.
Can I choose a different voice?
Yes. Use the Voice dropdown. The exact voice list depends on your device and browser. If the list is empty, press “Reload voices” or try a different browser.
Does “every 5 minutes” mean random times?
No — it’s aligned to the clock: :00, :05, :10, :15… so it behaves like a real time announcer.
Will it keep announcing in the background?
Sometimes. Many devices pause background tabs to save battery. For best results keep this tab open and active, especially on mobile.
Is this free and private?
Yes — it’s free, and the voice speaking happens on your device through your browser. Your settings are saved locally in your browser.
